Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830–$1,930
- Location: Columbus, Ohio

- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
- Weekend Coverage: Weekdays and some weekends; 8 weekend shifts during the contract
- Holiday Coverage: Rotating holidays
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 4 patients per nurse
- Department Profile: Approximately 110 visits per day with 28 treatment rooms
- Call: Not required
- Floating: Required to units of equivalent or lower acuity when needed
Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
- Active compact or Ohio Registered Nurse license in hand at the time of submission
- Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Recent Epic electronic health record experience required
- Experience caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Competency in triage, starting and maintaining IVs, phlebotomy, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients
- Experience with isolation precautions, PPE, CVA care, and procedural sedation administration and monitoring
- Two professional references required, including at least one reference from a manager, director, supervisor, or other formal leader
- Availability to complete required Ohio fingerprinting and credentialing promptly after accepting the assignment
Emergency Department RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients presenting with emergency and urgent medical conditions
- Perform focused assessments, initiate appropriate interventions, and continuously monitor patient status
- Prioritize patient needs through effective emergency department triage
- Administer medications, blood products, IV therapies, and procedural sedation according to established standards
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, including dysrhythmias, stroke symptoms, respiratory compromise, and other emergent conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and other members of the care team
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, reassessments, and outcomes in Epic
- Support care for trauma, stroke, STEMI, and other high-acuity emergency presentations
- Float to comparable or lower-acuity units as assigned while maintaining quality and patient safety
