TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Tacoma, Washington.
Simplifi Clinical Interviews
Unit: ER - Level IV trauma center. Alot of psych patients here.
Experience Required: 2+ years of ED experience; CAP – 4 years minimum; Will not accept a first time traveler
Certs Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, MOAB 1 & 2 (or CPI) and TNCC
Skills Required: (i.e. traches, vents, chest tubes):
General ED skills
Traveler Telemetry Competency Required
Required to be completed and passed prior to start. SimpliFi Compliance is responsible for grading this exam
Soft skills:
Team player, organized, strong communication, time management
Patient Types:
General ED complaints, abd pain, chest pain, SOB, BH patients, Geriatrics, Rarely pediatrics, occasional L&D (typically to St Joseph’s or TG)

Receptionist available Day/Nights: 24/7
Respiratory therapy 24/7
Hospitalist availability after hours: ED doctors and mid-level providers
Telemetry Monitoring: the HUC helps monitor this, but nurses are responsible.
Charge nurse takes a patient assignment: No
