Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse - Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing acute care in a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department at a healthcare facility. The position requires proficiency in trauma, burns, and pediatric transfers, with an emphasis on sterile field maintenance and critical care skills.

Job Details

• Position Description: Nurses will be expected to complete Simulations Labs for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU and Emergency Department (ED). Acute and subacute trauma beds, trauma bays, and psychosocial hold management are part of the daily responsibilities. The role involves float duties between designated facilities, with a requirement to pass a pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; Education Requirements: Min 2 years ER experience; 36 hours per week; Start date: 10/12/2026; End date: 01/11/2027.
• Preferred Qualifications: TNCC and ATCN certifications are preferred.
• Schedule: 12-hour days, with 4 weekend shifts per month, holidays based on unit coverage.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have at least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience and pass a DYS exam prior to acceptance. Candidates are required to demonstrate competence in sterile fields, lifts, restraints, and wound care. Able to float to sister campuses and perform various emergency procedures, including cardiac monitoring and airway management.
