Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our team. This role is essential for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in emergency situations.
• Conduct assessments and obtain comprehensive patient histories.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols.
• Monitor and document patient progress and responses to interventions.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards within the department.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Weekend shifts will be required, and scheduled days may vary based on staffing needs. There is a requirement to work two out of the three winter holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year in Levels 1 or 2 emergency care, including pediatric experience.
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (can submit with TNCC pending but must have it before the start date).
• Ability to adapt to varying staffing needs and schedules.
• VA nursing license pending is acceptable for submission.

Time Off

Requests for time off can be approved for a maximum of 40 hours during the contract period.
