Job Summary: Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position in a 24/7 emergency department located in Rockport, TX. The role involves providing high-quality patient care during night shifts, with a focus on urgent and emergency medical services in a fast-paced environment. The RN will be responsible for implementing clinical procedures, collaborating with team members, and ensuring excellent patient outcomes.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Active BLS (Basic Life Support), ALS (Advanced Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications; no minimum experience required; at least 1 year of relevant healthcare experience preferred; location Rockport, TX
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with emergency procedures such as IV blood draws, EKGs, Foley catheter placement, orthopedics splinting, wound care; ability to work effectively in a team setting
Additional Information: The unit has 6 rooms, 4 vertical beds, and a staff of approximately 10 full-time equivalent personnel, including RN charge nurses and paramedics. Essential equipment includes vital sign monitors, BIPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, orthopedic supplies, and AEDs. The department has a patient ratio of 3 to 4 patients per nurse, with a staffing pattern that includes day and night shifts.
Note: Candidates without the required certifications will not be considered. Weekend shifts and on-call responsibilities may be required.
