Job Summary: Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Miami, Florida. This role involves providing high-acuity, fast-paced emergency care in a Level I trauma facility. The assignment includes managing adult and pediatric patients in a busy emergency department with advanced technological resources and a need for prior level I trauma experience.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid Florida licensure or compact license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certifications required prior to start; minimum of 2 years of ER experience; previous travel experience in a Level I trauma facility; prior experience with Cerner electronic medical record (EMR); must be able to handle admission work for boarded patients; must pass EKG exam during orientation.
Preferred Qualifications: Level I trauma experience; prior travel experience in a high-volume adult and pediatric ER setting.
Float: Float rotation may be required if necessary by the facility.
Additional Information: Orientation start date is 09/08/2026. Orientation includes pass/fail EKG exam. You will work every other weekend or alternating weekends and holidays as needed. Scrub colors are royal blue. The facility has 60 exam rooms, 4 resuscitation rooms, 6 triage rooms, and 12 fast-track rooms, along with 50 observation rooms and 7 acute care rooms. Onsite radiology suite and pharmacy available for faster patient care.
