Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Spokane, Washington. This position involves floating between units in a high-acuity short-term acute care facility. The role requires managing a diverse patient population, including trauma, cardiac, and stroke patients, and adhering to established clinical protocols for adult patients. The job offers the opportunity to work within a Level II Trauma Center that is a regional referral hub for critical emergencies.

Job Details:

  • Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Washington or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; at least 2 years of experience in Emergency Room; Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Stroke Nursing Certification (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); experience with continuous IV sedation, intracranial pressure monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, trauma care, and triage; 48 hours of approved shift hours; valid Allied license if applicable; local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted at a lower rate.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center, community hospital experience, and familiarity with Epic charting system.
  • Additional Information: The ED handles approximately 175 visits daily, serving an adult patient population with high acuity cases including trauma, cardiac, and stroke emergencies. Clinicians will be required to work in emergency department holding areas. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
