Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Perform triage assessments and determine the severity of patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Cerner EMR.
• Adhere to protocols and guidelines in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.
• Two years of experience in an Emergency Department setting is required.
• Candidate must have worked in a facility with a minimum of 45,600 annual visits (approximately 125 patients per day) in the past eight months.
• Experience with EKG rhythm interpretation is essential; candidates must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least an 80% score overall and a 100% score on lethal rhythms.
• Previous travel nursing experience is required.
• Floating within skill set is required, along with the flexibility to work every other weekend and holiday.

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccination is mandatory for all employees.
• Candidates must have triage experience.

Work Schedule

This position offers a night shift schedule, working 3 shifts of 12 hours each week.
