Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse - Portland, Oregon. This position involves providing acute emergency care across diverse patient populations in a fast-paced, short-term acute care facility with a total of 73 beds. The role requires flexibility to float between units and facilities based on departmental needs, with an emphasis on critical skills in emergency services.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure in the state of Oregon, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC certifications, minimum 2 years of experience in emergency nursing, and experience with charting in Epic.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with care for medical boarders, trauma level II certification, and familiarity with care for diverse patient populations including Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to meet department needs, including units like Rapid Response and Behavioral Health.
  • Additional Information: Must have a vehicle for this assignment. Candidates will be expected to work primarily in a high-acuity emergency setting, with responsibilities including advanced airway management, arterial line care, chest tube management, and rapid response participation. Flexibility to work holidays is required; all scheduling and RTO requests must be specified upfront during submittal.
