Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required; Emergency Department or Critical Care experience strongly preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and PALS required within the expected timeline
• NIHSS and CPI required or strongly preferred based on assignment needs
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• CEN preferred
• Ability to care for patients across the lifespan, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations
• Strong assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy Emergency Department with a focus on safety, efficiency, and positive patient outcomes
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and ongoing reassessment in a fast-paced ER setting
• Administer medications and manage treatment plans in accordance with nursing standards and clinical protocols
• Care for patients with a wide range of conditions, including trauma, medical emergencies, pediatric needs, and critical illness
• Support stabilization, resuscitation, and crisis intervention as needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, respiratory therapy, and other care team members to coordinate efficient patient flow
• Monitor and respond to patients requiring drips, invasive lines, oxygen support, and advanced monitoring equipment
• Advocate for patient safety, dignity, and quality care in every interaction
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication throughout the shift
