Job Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
- Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- PALS required
- NIHSS certification required
- Dysrhythmia exam required
- Strong clinical judgment in a high-intensity, fast-paced emergency care environment
- Ability to care for patients across the lifespan, including pediatric and adult populations
Responsibilities
- Provide, coordinate, plan, and evaluate nursing care in the Emergency Department
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Administer medications safely and in accordance with professional nursing standards
- Deliver care to patients with medical illness, trauma, mental health concerns, and life-threatening conditions
- Support triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and crisis intervention as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, EMS, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Promote patient safety, quality care, and positive outcomes in a high-acuity ED setting
- Communicate clearly with patients and families while maintaining compassion and professionalism
- Respond quickly to changing patient needs and prioritize care effectively
- Maintain a calm, adaptable approach during emergencies and periods of high demand
