Job Summary:
The Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position is based at a highly active and nationally recognized academic medical center in Gainesville, Florida. This 15-week contract opportunity requires acute care expertise in adult emergency medicine, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a trauma-center setting, with responsibilities across a busy emergency department, including potential floating to other units as needed.
Job Details:
- Location: Gainesville, Florida
- Shift Details: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week, variable days and weekends, with potential for floating within the facility.
- Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience
- Most recent 12 months must include work at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center or an academic medical center (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
- Florida RN License or Compact RN License at time of submission
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC (preferred)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center
- EPIC electronic medical record experience documented in the submission packet
- Additional Information:
- Must be open to floating; flexibility is essential for this role.
- No RTO permitted during the first 2 weeks of the assignment; maximum of 10 days RTO allowed for a 13-week contract.
- No employment gaps greater than 30 days without explanation.
- Recent competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and passing scores on EKG exams are required.
- These positions are available to qualified travelers only, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
