Job Summary: Emergency Room Nurse in Asheville, North Carolina. This position involves providing high-quality emergency nursing care in a fast-paced Level II trauma and comprehensive stroke center. The role requires flexibility across all areas of the Emergency Department and adherence to hospital standards of clinical excellence and patient experience.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a registered nurse, with at least 2 years of experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center, including 1 year in an emergency room setting. Must hold current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications before the start date. Previous HCA experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in high-volume emergency departments with over 100,000 visits annually. Ability to coach and give real-time feedback, with a teamwork-oriented mindset.
Additional Information: No floating outside of the emergency department is required; however, candidates should be open to working in all sections within the ED. The department values teamwork, welcoming personalities, and serving a diverse community with over 120 languages spoken. The unit utilizes Cerner documentation system and employs equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors.
