Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Spokane, Washington. This position involves providing specialized patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Center with a busy ER environment. The role requires the ability to manage a diverse patient population with a variety of acuity levels, emphasizing teamwork and clinical expertise.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning on 09/08/2026.
- Required Qualifications: Emergency Room (ER) Specialty, 3-5 years of experience in a Level 3 or higher trauma center, valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and MOAB/CPI certifications (or ability to start without MOAB/CPI per email update). Skills needed include resuscitation, conscious sedations, lines/drains/tubes, and general ER skills. EPIC electronic medical record experience required.
- Preferred Qualifications: PALS or ENPC, TNCC or ATCN certifications preferred.
- Support on the Unit: Availability of CNA/ER Techs (2-4 depending on shift), receptionists/HUC, charge nurses, phlebotomy (performed by RN, techs can do straight stick IV/VAT), resource nurses, RTs, hospitalists, and bedside or centralized telemetry monitoring.
- Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing system, bedside and centralized monitors.
- Orientation: 1 week general orientation, 24 weeks unit orientation; preceptor support includes NEO and 1-2 shifts with preceptor.
- Other Notes: Utilizes 1:1 support model for Critical Access Patients. Professional/solid color scrubs acceptable. Free parking available. The environment emphasizes teamwork but can be stressful; preceptors play a vital role in supporting new nurses.
