Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse in Greenville, Maine This position involves providing high-quality emergency care within a critical access hospital setting. The role requires managing a diverse patient population, from neonates to geriatrics, with a focus on acute medical and trauma cases. The facility seeks adaptable and dedicated registered nurses to join their team for an ASAP start duration through January 23, 2027.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: RN with valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (preferred), NRP (preferred); ME State RN Licensure; 0 years of experience required.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing patient care for general emergency cases, including abdominal pain, CHF, chest pain, trauma, respiratory illnesses, seizures, animal bites, and admitted holds.
• Skills required: ICU hold overs, insulin and vasoactive infusions, central lines, BiPaps, vents (settings managed with MD), procedural sedation, RSI levels, triaging.
• Support on the unit includes charge nurse, nursing supervisor, and optional phlebotomy.
• Charting System/Equipment: CERNER, Alaris IV Pumps, Pyxis Med Dispensing, GE Monitors, Hamilton T1 Ventilators, LifePak 20 Defibrillators.
• Float: Will float in house as needed to care for Med/Tele patients (normally very limited).
• Orientation: On-unit orientation lasting 34 days based on needs/comfort.
• Staffing: Most shifts include 2 RNs, ED tech, and potentially additional RN or CNA float assistance during night shifts.
• Holiday Expectations: At least 1 or 2 holidays per rotation; travelers will not work every holiday.
• Parking: Free.
