Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care at a Level 4 Trauma, stroke-ready facility with 17 exam rooms and a 4-bed observation unit. The role requires a dedicated healthcare professional experienced in trauma and emergency scenarios.
Job Details
Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin
Experience: 18 months of ER experience required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, with every other weekend rotation and holiday coverage every other holiday
Additional Information:
Support on the unit includes 2 Emergency Department technicians from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, and a charge nurse who may carry patient load
Responsibilities include airway management and Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI), cardiac drips, codes, CVA, and STEMI management
Support staff includes hospitalists available 24/7, and access to RT, OT, PT, and ST as needed
Experience with electronic medical records (Epic), Pyxis medication dispensing, and Alaris infusion pumps required
Patient types include post-surgical, cerebrovascular accident (CVA), sepsis, pneumonia, trauma, and more
Scrub color is navy blue, parking is free
Submission Requirements: Candidates should be able to demonstrate the required certifications and experience, with the ability to work scheduled shifts and respect hospital policies.
