Job Summary: Emergency Room Nursing Professional in Guttenberg, Iowa. This position involves providing acute care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care and adhering to established protocols within a busy hospital environment.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); 1 year minimum clinical experience; located in or willing to commute to Guttenberg, Iowa.
Specialty: Emergency Room
Experience: 0 years minimum experience required.
Patient Ratio: Maximum of 1:5, typically 1:3.
Orientation: 2-4 days of orientation.
Patient Modality: Acute, Skilled, Hospice.
Special Equipment: ICU medical intravenous pumps, Nihon Kohden bedside monitors, Novastat glucometer, Airvo, Bipap unit.
Specific Procedures and Protocols: Drips and infusions, IV starts, EKGs, oxygen initiation and weaning, bipap, standard nursing skills including sepsis, stroke, MI, and trauma management.
Travel and Float Requirements: Travel not required; float rotation not required.
