Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Bay City, Michigan.
Job Summary for Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Bay City Site):
- Coordinate total nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department
- Participate in patient and family education and teaching
- Provide leadership and work cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other healthcare team members
- Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting
- Recognize and respect each patient's individuality, rights, and privacy
- Ensure quality nursing care with mutual goal setting between the nurse and patient
- Adhere to standards set by regulatory agencies (e.g., AOA, HCFA, MIOSHA)
- Demonstrate individual competence in nursing practice and accept responsibility for actions and judgments
- Provide care to a diverse patient population, from newborn to geriatric
- Utilize Paragon EMR system for documentation
- Maintain a patient ratio of 4:1
- Wear blue scrubs as per dress code
- Work in a 10-bed Emergency Department
- Meet certification requirements: ACLS, BLS (AHA), ENPC (or PALS), TNCC
- Hold a current, active Michigan RN license
- Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department experience required
Med Ninjas Job ID #17191. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
