GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.

Opportunity:

ER RN - Rotating

Job Details:

• Rotating schedule with weekend coverage required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 4-5 patients
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS (AHA certifications only accepted)
• Active PA or Compact license required
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Emergency department sees approximately 80 visits per day across 30 rooms and 28 beds
• Required skills include: abdominal pain, asthma, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, burns, care of ventilated patients, chest tube insertion and management, continuous IV paralytics and sedation, CVA management, drug overdose, emergency medications, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, head injury, hyperglycemia, infection management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, splint application and management, managing violent behavior, mental and behavioral health conditions, 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, psychiatric holds, respiratory infection, seizures, starting and maintaining IVs, suicidal patient care, triage, and urinary tract infection management
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Unit is stroke certified and serves as a chest pain referral hospital and adolescent psychiatric facility
