• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

• Setting: Short-term acute care hospital, Level II Trauma Center
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 16, 2026
• Shift: 4x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980 - $2,080
• Charting System: Epic
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience managing a patient load of approximately 4:1
• Ability to care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Strong clinical skills in a fast-paced emergency department setting

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity in the Emergency Department
• Manage IV vasopressors, central lines, arterial lines, and ventilated patients as needed
• Support patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP and dysrhythmia monitoring
• Deliver safe, efficient care while maintaining accurate documentation in Epic
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE standards to support patient and staff safety
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to stabilize and treat patients
• Maintain professionalism and flexibility while working scheduled day shifts and every other weekend
