Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) specialty position located in a Level III Trauma Center in Puyallup, WA. This role involves providing acute care to a diverse patient population, including trauma, sepsis, COVID, stroke, mental health, and geriatrics. The position entails working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on patient safety and quality care.

Job Details:

• Location: Puyallup, WA
• Shift Schedule: Days shifts from 0700 to 1900; 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: All candidates must possess First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Crisis Prevention Institute/Management of Aggressive Behavior (CPI/MOAB) certifications. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience, recent electronic medical record system experience with EPIC, and competencies in cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, and medication administration. Supportive skills include blood administration, procedural sedation, and TNK administration.
• Preferred Qualifications: Support staff include ER technicians, social work services, and pharmacy support available 24/7. Orientation includes badge and EPIC training, followed by hands-on shifts with a preceptor.
• Float: None required.
• Additional Information: The role involves working in a dedicated ER environment with telemetry monitoring and modern charting systems. Support staff and security are available around the clock to ensure safety and efficient patient care.
