Job Summary:
The Emergency Room nurse position is located in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves providing emergency care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on trauma and critical care. The position requires adapting to a rotating shift schedule, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes in a dynamic clinical setting.

Job Details:

  • Position: Emergency Room Nurse
  • Location: Baltimore, Maryland
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN); two or more years of emergency room level II trauma experience; previous employment within any Johns Hopkins health system facilities (must be noted on the coversheet and in the work history for verification); High school diploma or equivalent; Maryland nursing license or compact license; minimum of 0 years of experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with electronic medical records, prior hospital-based emergency nursing experience, additional certifications in emergency nursing.
  • Additional Information: Please confirm if the candidate has previously worked in any capacity for any Johns Hopkins facilities, as prior employment within these systems requires verification before offer acceptance. Candidates must be available to start on or after 07/20/2026.
