Join our Emergency Department nursing team as an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) and provide high-quality emergency care in West Chester, Pennsylvania. This 13-week night-shift contract offers competitive weekly pay and the opportunity to care for patients with urgent and emergent conditions.

Emergency Department RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000–$2,100
• Location: West Chester, Pennsylvania (PA)
• Department: Emergency Department (ED) / Emergency Room
• Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: One out of every three weekends
• Start Date: October 29, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Additional Opportunity: Candidates interested in picking up additional weekend shifts are highly encouraged to apply. A temp-to-hire transition may be available for qualified candidates.

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Department, Emergency Room, or acute care nursing experience
• Trauma nursing experience preferred, but not required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
• Ability to work scheduled night shifts and the required weekend rotation
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, assessment, and prioritization skills
• Selected candidates must be available for a virtual, camera-on interview with department leadership

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with emergent and urgent medical conditions
• Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity and clinical needs
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Assist with emergency interventions, resuscitation efforts, and trauma-related care as needed
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record
