Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in a critical access environment. This role involves working in the Emergency Department and floating to Medical-Surgical units as needed. The facility serves a diverse patient population, ranging from birth to geriatric care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a 15-bed facility, ensuring adherence to patient care standards.
• Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as COPD, Diabetes, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Cardiac issues, and Traumas.
• Administer cardiac and diabetic drips as required.
• Mix medications as there is no in-house pharmacy available.
• Maintain a patient-nurse ratio of 2:1.
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical record (EMR) systems and telemetry equipment.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient nursing experience required.
• Current Colorado RN license.
• Certifications in TNCC, ACLS, and BLS required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule

This is a per diem position requiring availability for night shifts with potential day shift opportunities. Flexibility in scheduling is preferred.
