Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse for a healthcare facility in the specified location. This position involves providing high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. The contract duration is approximately eight weeks, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 11/30/2026.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shifts; 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: CA RN Licensure, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, at least 1 year of ER RN experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, Epic charting system experience, community hospital or trauma level experience, travel experience preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• Skills: Abdominal pain, acute psychosis, arterial line management, asthma, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, burns, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, chest tube insertion/management, continuous IV sedation, stroke care, medication management, infection control, airway management including intubation, PPE and isolation precautions, management of dysrhythmias and multisystem organ failure, mental health conditions, seizures, trauma interventions, EKG interpretation, phlebotomy, procedural sedation, psychiatric holds, respiratory infections, sickle cell crisis, skin disorders, spinal cord injuries, starting and maintaining IVs, STEMI and stroke certification, management of suicidal patients, traumatic injuries, triage, urinary tract infections.
• Unit Details: Support staff includes a unit secretary.
• Additional Information: This assignment involves working in an emergency department serving a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, with a focus on trauma, stroke, and critical care. Candidates should be prepared to work variable shifts and potentially float to other nearby campuses if needed within scope of practice.
