Contract (13 or 26 week options available) | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hour weekly options | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care on a general medical surgical and telemetry unit serving populations including total knee and hip replacement, orthopedic, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric patients
  • Care for patients on a secured split-floor unit that includes medical surgical patients with underlying behavioral health conditions such as detox and dementia; utilize de-escalation techniques as trained
  • Manage and monitor IV drips as required across all assigned floors
  • Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
  • Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs across multiple units and campuses as directed
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport, paramedics, and LPNs where assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending Nebraska RN state license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
  • Proficiency with IV drip management
  • EPIC electronic health records charting experience required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Ability and willingness to float frequently to various units to meet hospital staffing needs

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred
  • Experience in a Level I Academic Medical Center
  • Comfort and experience working with behavioral health patient populations
