• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department within a Critical Access Hospital; Trauma Level IV
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
• Start Date: November 23, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending February 22, 2027
• Nursing Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week plus two call shifts
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Additional Coverage: Holidays and on-call coverage are required
• Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) experience
• Critical Access Hospital experience preferred
• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Colorado
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or equivalent
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a rural emergency care environment

Emergency Room RN Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care from admission through discharge in the Emergency Department
• Provide safe, compassionate care to patients across a broad range of emergency conditions and acuity levels
• Utilize established clinical standards, protocols, and care pathways to support quality patient outcomes
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly with appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate treatment and transitions of care
• Complete accurate clinical documentation and support continuity of care
• Participate in scheduled call, holiday, and cross-site coverage as assigned
