• Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every 3rd weekend and rotational holidays
• Call: No call

Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact licensure
• Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• 2+ years of emergency nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• ATCN preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stay calm and effective in high-acuity, high-stress emergency situations
• Skilled in computerized charting, patient documentation, and electronic medical records

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a busy Emergency Department for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Perform age-appropriate assessments and triage using the ESI 5-level triage process
• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Document patient care accurately using proper medical terminology and charting standards
• Collaborate with providers, ancillary departments, and outside agencies to support efficient patient flow
• Manage multiple patients and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical need
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency interventions as indicated
• Respond to crisis situations with clear communication, delegation, and sound clinical judgment
• Support discharge education, patient and family teaching, and transfer protocols
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and stocked rooms to keep the ED ready for the next shift
• Participate in education, audits, in-services, and professional development activities
• Assist with educational experiences for pre-hospital providers and nursing students when needed
