Emergency Room Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• At least 1 year of recent emergency department or emergency room nursing experience
• Trauma Level I experience documented in your professional work history
• Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts and the required weekly schedule
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care

ER RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients presenting with urgent, emergent, and traumatic conditions
• Perform patient assessments, monitor changing conditions, and promptly escalate concerns
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established orders and protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Support patient stabilization, prioritization, and timely treatment throughout the emergency department
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and ongoing care plans
• Promote a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment during overnight operations
