• Patient Volume: Approximately 120 patients per day
• Floating: No floating out of the unit
• Weekend Requirement: Up to 3 weekend nights per pay period

• Orientation: 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• Start Date: 8/30/2026

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department experience within the last 12 months
• Active Kansas RN license or compact/multi-state RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Conscious sedation competency
• TNCC preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency nursing environment with rapidly changing priorities
• Strong teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to Emergency Department patients across a broad range of acuity levels
• Monitor and manage chest pain, stroke, and other emergent presentations in the ED
• Care for inpatient boarders while maintaining Emergency Department standards of practice
• Collaborate with physicians, ED staff, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Prioritize assessments, treatments, and interventions in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
• Maintain accurate documentation and support smooth patient flow through the department
• Adapt quickly to changing patient needs while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on quality patient care
