Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Nights Location: [Location not specified]. This position involves providing patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency setting. The role requires delivering advanced clinical skills to neonates through geriatrics and supporting medication administration, patient assessment, and emergency procedures during night shifts.

Job Details

• Schedule: 3x12 Night shifts (20:00-08:30); a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Maryland or Compact State RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI certification, and at least 2 years of ER experience; experience handling patient ratios of 4-5 in busy emergency environments; proficient in Epic EMR system; experience in a high-volume, non-trauma ER with complex diagnoses required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience, trauma level I or II certification, community hospital experience, and familiarity managing ventilated patients, arterial lines, and emergency medications.
• Float: Float within the specialty and to the ER hold/observation unit as needed.
• Client Support Services: Includes IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation services.
• Patient Care: Neonates to geriatrics with an average census of 200 patients per day, housed within a 66-bed department, including a 10-bed hold/observation unit.
• Additional Information: The role involves working every other weekend, scheduled holidays, and providing care across diverse patient diagnoses, including trauma, respiratory infections, poison ingestion, and more. Annual orientation of 24 hours is required.
