Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced emergency department. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care to a diverse population ranging from infants to geriatrics in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patient conditions in a dynamic ER setting.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI are required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department preferred; strong candidates with less experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple tasks.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for 3x12-hour shifts or 4x12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Additional Information

The emergency department averages 130 patients daily and operates with a staffing ratio of 1:4. The environment is fast-paced, and experience with a diverse patient population is essential. Floating within the specialty may be required.
