Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Eureka, California. This position involves providing acute care in a high-volume emergency department, supporting diverse patient populations including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, children, and geriatrics. The role requires excellent clinical skills, flexibility, and the ability to work nights, contributing to the organization's commitment to high-quality patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid California license, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC preferred (may be sent as screening if willing to obtain prior to start), latest certifications, experience in pediatric emergency departments or triage units preferred, minimum of 1-year healthcare experience, specific charting experience with Epic required, completion of 12 orientation hours.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with interdisciplinary support teams such as physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and Unit Secretary.
  • Additional Information:
    Travelers may be required to float within the hospital or to affiliated facilities nearby. Candidates should be prepared to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). References covering at least one year (six months for CNAs) are required, and candidates must submit SSN, DOB, and RTO details at the time of submission. A valid California license must be in hand, and a local radius of 50 miles applies. The position involves onboarding and annual modules with self-reported hours, averaging 16 hours in pre-start modules, with additional hours requiring prior approval.
