Shift
2:45 PM – 3:15 AM (12.5-hour Night Shift)
Every other weekend required
No block scheduling
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
At least 1 year of ER experience
Experience in a Level II Trauma Center
Experience in a Comprehensive Stroke Center
Experience in a high-volume ED (100,000+ visits/year)
Previous HCA experience preferred
Required Certifications
BLS
ACLS
PALS
TNCC
CPI
NIHSS
ENPC (within 90 days of hire)
Unit Details
101-bed Emergency Department
Typical nurse-to-patient ratio:
4:1 (medical patients)
Up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
Charting: Cerner
Equipment
Baxter pumps
GE monitors
Floating
No floating outside the ED
Must be willing to float to all areas within the Emergency Department
Scheduling
Every other weekend required
Schedule based on department needs
No block scheduling available
Patient Care Expectations
AIDET communication
Respectful patient interactions
Keep patient communication boards updated
Provide regular patient updates throughout the visit
