Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts with shift times dependent on requisition
• Weekend rotation every other weekend
• No on-call required
• Holiday expectations: 2 out of 4 major holidays or every other holiday
• Patient ratio of 1:4 (acuity based) for day and night shifts; 1:6 for fast track
• Emergency department with 35 beds and 6 fast track rooms averaging 168 patients per day
• Care for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics covering all ED diagnoses
• Heavy mental health patient population
• Trauma cases including gunshot wounds, stabbings, falls, and motor vehicle collisions
• Stabilize and transfer invasive neuro and STEMI patients requiring cath lab
• 3 years of ED experience in a fast-paced facility required
• Required skills include cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV skills, basic knowledge of critical care drips and medication administration, TPA administration, blood administration, procedural sedation, and code blue experience
• NIHSS experience required - cannot be obtained prior to start
• Triage experience strongly preferred
• First-time travelers considered upon review with strong experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Charting and equipment: EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis
• Scrub color: Any color, professional

Facility:
This facility is a Level IV Trauma Center and Level III NICU with 228 beds, operating as a teaching hospital and Geriatric Accredited Center. The emergency department is a fast-paced, high-volume unit supported around the clock by unit secretaries, ED technicians, charge nurses, phlebotomy, respiratory therapy, ED physicians, mid-level providers, an ED educator, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, and security. The unit features central and bedside telemetry monitoring and is a locked unit with security stationed in the lobby. The facility is also recognized as an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center.
