Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in San Joaquin County This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in the emergency room setting, following established standards of care and the nursing process. The role includes supervising and directing various levels of nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines, and utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment to promote patient safety and well-being.
Job Details
Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; acute care facility experience preferred; current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required.
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Current RN licensure in the state of practice; CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor.
Additional Information: Delivering care in a fast-paced emergency room, providing health information directly to patients, families, and healthcare team members, participating in discharge planning, and coordinating duties of healthcare team members.
Certification Requirements: CPR/BLS from an approved vendor.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must be available for the specified start date and meet all listed qualifications.
Organizational Requirements: All associates must receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical or religious exemptions possibly applicable.
