Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a busy Emergency Room (ER) environment. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients across all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics, while adhering to the standards of care and practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care utilizing knowledge of age-related growth and development.
• Work effectively in a high-stress environment, adapting quickly to changing situations.
• Collaborate effectively within a team, ensuring seamless communication between pre-hospital, emergency department, and in-hospital personnel.
• Manage and administer treatments, including drips and ventilators.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards and practice guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency Department experience; additional experience is preferred.
• Prior travel nursing experience of at least 3 months is required.
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Valid New Hampshire RN license or an active compact RN license.
• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexibility with scheduling, including every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Additional Information

The Emergency Department sees over 26,000 visits annually, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. The department features a newly renovated space equipped with state-of-the-art monitors and communication devices. Potential candidates must be willing to adhere to all scheduling requests and availability during critical holiday periods.
