Position Overview

The ED RN provides safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and acute conditions. You'll work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team while using strong assessment skills, clinical judgment, and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rapid and comprehensive patient assessments
  • Triage and prioritize patients based on acuity and clinical needs
  • Monitor patient conditions and recognize changes requiring immediate intervention
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established standards
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
  • Provide care for patients across a broad range of emergency presentations
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered environment
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and follow-up care
  • Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care
  • Delegate appropriately and coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team
  • Utilize critical thinking and independent clinical judgment in high-pressure situations


Required Certifications

  • BLS – Required
  • ACLS – Required
  • PALS – Required
  • NIHSS – Required
  • CPI, TEAM, or TEAM-A – Required
  • Active RN license in the state of practice


Experience & Education

  • Previous Emergency Department / acute-care experience preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • Strong assessment, prioritization, communication, and critical-thinking skills
