Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12)
Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Patient Ratio: 1:4 (May increase to 1:5 during peak census)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality emergency care for adult and pediatric patients in a busy community Emergency Department and Stroke Center.

Main Requirements

Active RN VA License
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
Experience in Adult and Pediatric Emergency Care
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only)
Epic experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care using triage protocols.
Provide emergency nursing care for adult and pediatric patients.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency treatments.
Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergency situations.
Assist with trauma, stroke, respiratory, and critical care patients.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop treatment plans.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge instructions.
Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR.
