Shift Options: 7:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM

Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care in a Level I Trauma Center. The RN will care for high-acuity patients and must have strong emergency department experience, including experience with stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to emergency department patients.
Perform patient assessments, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation.
Care for patients with a wide range of emergency and acute conditions.
Provide care for stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Provide emergency interventions and assist during critical situations.
Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC.
Follow all emergency department safety, infection control, and patient care protocols.
May float to designated offsite emergency departments as needed.

Requirements:

Active Registered Nurse VA state license.
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience.
Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification required.
NIHSS certification required.
TNCC certification required.
CPI certification required.
Strong Emergency Department experience required.
EPIC experience highly preferred.
