Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse position available in Utica, New York. This role involves providing urgent care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The position requires a dynamic clinician capable of managing critical cases such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure within a high-capacity emergency department.

Job Details:

• Location: Utica, NY
• Position: Emergency Room Nurse
• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/31/2026
• Schedule: 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)
• Certifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); TNCC certification is required to be in hand
• Experience: 2+ years of Emergency Department experience with some Pediatric experience; travel experience is required
• Licenses: Active New York RN license and all relevant RN licenses; Verification via NURSYS report; RTO documentation must be included at time of submission
• EMR Experience: EPIC
• Float Requirement: Yes, floating may be required across units
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
• Unit Specifics:
  • Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
  • Specialty equipment includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
  • Bed capacity includes 64 beds, with 2 triage, 40 acute care, 6 super track, 2 trauma, 10 care delay units, and 6 psychiatric beds

Additional Information:
Candidates must submit an up-to-date resume reflecting 2+ years of ED experience, including pediatric care, and documented travel experience. A skills checklist matching the ER specialty is required.
