Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a community hospital setting. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics. The role requires clinical expertise, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details

• Certifications: CA RN Licensure, BLS (AHA), ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Education Requirements: Valid CA State License
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ER experience required; 0 years minimum experience specified
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Position Description: RN responsible for demonstrating understanding of evidence-based practice, knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacological implications, regulatory issues, and service line disease processes. Tasks include thorough assessment documentation, performing clinical procedures (IV, Foley, dressings), patient and family education, and ensuring safety standards. Recognizes patient condition changes, reports errors and near misses, advocates for patients, and works independently and collaboratively. Maintains professional appearance, completes tasks timely, and takes initiative.
• Additional Information: Previous charge nurse experience, trauma certification, and specific clinical skills such as arterial line management, intubation, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction are preferred.
