Facility: Sinai Hospital Location: Milwaukee, WI Department: Emergency Department Shift: 12-Hour Days – 36 hrs/week Contract: 89 weeks
Position Requirements
Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department RN experience
Must have experience in a fast-paced ED
First-time travelers may be considered with strong experience
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC required
NIHSS cannot be obtained after starting
Patient Population
Neonates through geriatrics
All types of ED diagnoses
Heavy behavioral/mental health population
STEMI and invasive neurological cases
Trauma cases including GSWs, stabbings, falls, and MVCs
Patient Ratios
Main ED: approximately 1:4, acuity-based
Fast Track: approximately 1:6
ED has 35 beds + 6 fast-track rooms
Average daily volume: approximately 168 patients
Required Skills
Cardiac rhythm interpretation
IV skills
Critical-care drips and medication administration
NIHSS assessment
TPA administration
Blood administration
Procedural sedation
Code Blue experience
Strong triage experience preferred

Mid-level providers: 24/7
Charge Nurse
ED Educator
OT/PT/ST
Security
Scheduling
36 hours/week
Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
No call
Holiday requirement applies
Time-off requests require approval
Orientation: 2 × 12-hour shifts on the unit
