Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

We are seeking a qualified Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to join our dynamic team. This position is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.

Position Details

• Unit Type: Emergency Room (ER)
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Start Times: 10 AM, 12 PM, 3 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in a high-volume emergency room environment.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
• Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals including doctors and other nursing staff.
• Perform triage assessments for incoming patients.
• Manage emergency situations effectively and efficiently.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
• Must possess current Michigan nursing license.
• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • PALS (AHA)
  • TNCC
• Experience with various emergency conditions including trauma, STEMI, and stroke patients.

Department Information

• The emergency department operates with a Trauma IV designation.
• The facility consists of 14 beds and 2 trauma bays.
• Fast track services are available with 3 designated rooms.
• Internal security is supplemented by local law enforcement.
• The average patient volume is between 40-60 patients per day.

Schedule Requirements

• Every other weekend commitment required.
• Holiday coverage on a rotational basis.

Dress Code

Professional attire is required, with solid color scrubs permitted.

Orientation

New hires will undergo a comprehensive training program, including computer-based training and two days of floor orientation focusing on departmental protocols.
