Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: Undisclosed. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care in a busy rural facility with 52 beds and 4 trauma bays. The role requires responding to a wide range of emergency situations, including trauma, STEMI, and stroke interventions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Must have at least two years of emergency room experience with trauma Level I and II cases within the past two years. Experience with trauma Level III/CAH or lower is not accepted. Epic electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency required, used within the last 5 years.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS. TNCC preferred.
• Education and Experience: No minimum experience requirement listed beyond the specified trauma experience.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Shifts scheduled with varied start times between 7 AM and 3 PM, including 4 weekend shifts over a 4-week period and typically 2 of 5 holidays.
• Responsibilities: Managing approximately 200 patients daily, coordinating patient care with multidisciplinary teams, utilizing fast-track beds, triage areas, and monitoring stations, and reading own telemetry.
• Additional information: The ER team includes ED techs with 2+ years of experience, RN staff, and RT presence 24/7. Use of dedicated CT and X-ray in the ER. The unit operates with a shared schedule with a nearby facility, with infrequent last-minute floating required.
• Submission Requirements: RN must be licensed and able to submit licenses electronically.
