Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nursing position in a critical access hospital located in an acute care setting. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care alongside another registered nurse in med/surg, outpatient, and emergency department environments. The position requires flexibility to float across units and departments, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care during night shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts. Every other weekend. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; active state or compact license; at least 3 years of clinical experience; certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC; EPIC experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical Access Hospital experience highly preferred.
• Additional Information: RN works alongside another RN to care for med/surg, outpatient, and emergency department patients. Typical procedures include IV starts, Foley catheter insertion, and other standard RN responsibilities. Equipment utilized includes EPIC electronic health record, Philips central monitor and telemetry, and Lifepak 15 defibrillator. The unit has 10 patient rooms with an average of four patients per day, and nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:6 depending on census and shift. Orientation can be tailored up to one week, including both day and night shifts for familiarity.
• Notes: The ideal candidate should have all certifications and be able to serve as charge nurse in the ER; flexibility is appreciated. All nurses must badge in and out at the facility. The role is located within an acute care setting, and housing arrangements must be confirmed at the time of submission.
