GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Seattle, Washington.

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with start times at 7:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM, or 7:00 PM
• Schedule posted every 6 weeks
• Every other weekend required
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Must be open to floating to different campuses and sister facilities
• 1 year of emergency department experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Patient ratio experience of 4-5 patients
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Care for typical emergency department patients across Adult/Pedi ER, Ambulance Triage, ED Holding, and Lobby Triage
• Department consists of 29 beds and 11 hallway beds for a total of 40 beds
• Daily census of 115
• Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills and procedures include:
  - Breathing treatments
  - Chest tube set-up and care
  - CPAP/BiPAP management
  - Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
  - RSI - Rapid Sequence Intubation drugs
  - Trach care and ventilator management
  - Blood and blood products administration
  - Cardioversion and defibrillation
  - Cooling and warming blanket
  - CRRT/Dialysis
  - 12-lead EKG acquisition
  - Rapid infuser
  - Central line care and management
  - IV vasopressors and continuous IV sedation
  - ICP monitoring
  - Interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias
  - Phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, interpretation services, and unit secretary

This facility operates a high-volume emergency department serving a broad patient population across combined adult and pediatric settings. The department supports a daily census of 115 and is equipped with 40 total beds, including hallway capacity to manage patient overflow. Comprehensive interdisciplinary support is available on-site, including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, interpretation services, and a unit secretary, ensuring a well-rounded care team environment.
