Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Hermiston, Oregon. This role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a fast-paced environment. The ER RN is responsible for triaging, assessing, and providing immediate intervention for a diverse range of medical conditions, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; current RN license in the state of Oregon; ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications; no previous experience required but clinical experience preferred; ability to work long shifts often up to 12 hours; ability to handle high-stress situations; strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols; physical ability to perform job functions including lifting up to 50 pounds, continuous walking and standing, and working in demanding situations.
- Preferred Qualifications: Specialty area certifications are a plus.
- Additional Information: The ER RN will perform patient assessment, triage, emergency care procedures, and documentation. The role requires responding swiftly to rapid response calls and code blue situations, providing patient education, practicing infection control, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Flexibility to float to other departments within qualification is possible. This position involves working in an environment with potential exposure to infectious and hazardous materials, variable noise levels, and occasionally dealing with combative patients. Shift may include nights, weekends, and holidays to support a 24/7 emergency department.
