Prime Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Eureka, California.

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse for an ASAP travel assignment at a high-volume acute-care facility. The RN will provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population and may float to the Observation Unit to care for ER Hold patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
- Perform patient assessments, prioritize care, and respond appropriately to changing patient conditions.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments within RN scope of practice.
- Monitor patients and recognize changes in condition requiring immediate intervention.
- Provide care for patients with medical, surgical, trauma, neurological, cardiac, and other emergency conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Provide appropriate emergency and trauma care according to facility protocols.
- Care for patients who remain in the ED as ER Hold/Observation patients.
- Float to the Observation Unit as needed and within scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and emergency-care standards.
Department Information:
- Approximately 135 ED visits per day
- Average daily census: 105
- Approximately 20 rooms / 26 beds
- High-volume emergency care environment
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
- Active California RN license required at submission.
- Pending California licenses are not accepted.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications.
- ENPC is listed as an additional/preferred certification.
- Must be comfortable floating to the Observation Unit/ER Hold area.
High-volume CA ED RN travel assignment needing 1+ year experience, BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC/NIHSS, with 3 of 6 weekends, Observation/ER Hold floating, and active CA license required; first-time travelers welcome.
