Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients in emergency situations.

Shift Details

• 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend requirement

Position Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room, ensuring timely and effective treatment
• Assist with triage and prioritize patient needs based on urgency
• Coordinate with medical staff and other departments to facilitate patient care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with established protocols
• Participate in all mandatory training and continuing education sessions
• Float to Med/Surg and Stepdown units as needed, providing competent nursing care

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Emergency Room experience
• Previous charge experience is required
• Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital is highly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience is highly preferred
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Active Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Current state license is required

Additional Information

The position may require floating to various units, including medical-surgical and stepdown. It is essential to be flexible and willing to assist where needed to support patient care. Candidates must live 50 miles or more from the facility to be considered for this role.
